Records Management Specialist

Location: Hybrid – Silver Spring, MD (preferred) or NMFS Regional Offices. Telework eligible per client approval

Type: Full-time

Overview: CASE is seeking a detail-oriented records management specialist to helps ensure NOAA Fisheries’ Office of Protected Resources (OPR) records management program complies with federal records requirements.

You will work alongside federal scientists, technologists, attorneys, and policy leaders to develop model that help ensure marine mammals, sea turtles, and endangered species are protected through sound science and legally defensible analysis.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Inventory electronic and paper records

  • Develop and update file plans

  • Apply retention schedules

  • Coordinate records transfer to Archives

  • Provide staff training

Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required:

  • 2+ years records management experience

  • Familiarity with federal records regulations

  • Experience with electronic file systems
