FOIA Program Analyst
Location: Hybrid – Silver Spring, MD (preferred) or NMFS Regional Offices. Telework eligible per client approval
Type: Full-time
Overview: CASE is seeking a senior analyst to support NOAA Fisheries’ Office of Protected Resources (OPR)’s FOIA program by ensuring timely, compliant processing of requests.
You will work alongside federal scientists, technologists, attorneys, and policy leaders to develop model that help ensure marine mammals, sea turtles, and endangered species are protected through sound science and legally defensible analysis.
Key Responsibilities include:
Manage FOIA case tracking systems (FOIA Online, Clearwell)
Review requests for completeness
Coordinate responses with NOAA General Counsel and regional offices
Prepare final agency responses
Assist with backlog reduction and training
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Required:
BS in public administration, policy, environmental science, or related field
2+ years experience supporting FOIA or records management
Strong organizational and tracking skills
