CASE Awarded NOAA Fisheries Alaska Aquaculture Opportunity Area Support Contract
Anchorage, Alaska – September 2026 — CASE Consultants International (CASE) is pleased to announce the award of a new contract supporting the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) Alaska Region's Aquaculture Opportunity Area (AOA) Program.
Under this four-year contract, CASE will provide embedded program, policy, and technical support to the Alaska Region's Regional Aquaculture Coordinator, helping advance NOAA Fisheries' science-based approach to sustainable marine aquaculture planning in Alaska.
CASE's support includes coordination of the Gulf of Alaska Aquaculture Opportunity Area Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS), preparation of technical analyses and executive-ready documents, support for the Alaska Aquaculture Explorer, policy and regulatory research, environmental review under NEPA, ESA, MSA, and related authorities, stakeholder engagement, interagency coordination, records management, and overall program support.
This award builds upon CASE's existing support to NOAA Fisheries' Alaska Region aquaculture initiatives and reflects the Government's confidence in our team's ability to deliver responsive, technically rigorous, and decision-ready products that improve program efficiency while reducing administrative burden.
